Rules and Reservations
The following rules and regulations have been approved by the Connoquenessing Borough Council.
Section I Rules
A. Park Hours
The park is open from April 1 through November 1. Park hours are from 9:00 am to sundown. The gate will be closed from sundown to 9:00 am the next day.
All acts of park vandalism or accidental damage should be reported to the Borough Secretary at 724-789-9097.
Park speed limit is 15 mph.
B. Allowable Activities
Fishing is permitted in the park pond. Youngsters must be accompanied by an adult.
Basketball and Tennis courts are available for use.
Horseshoe pit located behind restrooms is available for use.
All dogs must be leashed at all times.
The ball field is available on a first come, first served basis.
A charcoal grill is available for use at the upper shelter. You may bring a charcoal grill to use at the lower shelter.
Electricity is available in both shelters.
Drinking water is available in the restrooms and at the drinking fountain. Connoquenessing Borough Council assumes no responsibility for the purity or availability of water from the park spring.
Bike riding, skateboarding and rollerblading are permitted in the park.
Parking is permitted in the grass. Please use discretion and always keep road ways clear in case of emergencies.
C. Excluded Activities
Dirt motorcycles and mini-bikes are not permitted in the park.
Horses are not permitted in the park.
Alcoholic beverages are not permitted in the park.
Discharging of firearms is not permitted in the park. This includes air rifles, pistols, rifles and shotguns.
Swimming, boating and any ice sports are not permitted in or on the park pond.
Section II – Reservations
All groups who wish to use the park and occupy a large shelter will pay a non-refundable fee for such use. This fee applies to borough residents and to those who reside outside of the borough. The fee may be waived for non-profit organizations within the borough limits.
The fee for one large shelter is $85.00.
The fee for the whole park which includes the ball field is $170.00.
All large shelter reservations are to be made only with the Borough Secretary.
The park may be reserved any day of the regular park season including Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.
Reservations are taken on a first-come, first-serve basis. Fee is to be paid to the Borough as soon as possible. The reservation will be held for 15 days from the date the Borough Secretary mails the reservation form. After 15 days, if the fee has not been paid, that reservation is cancelled. Each large shelter holds approximately 90 people. Other picnic tables and a small shelter are available for use without a reservation. The small shelter holds approximately 15 people.
As the reserving agent, it is your responsibility to see that the shelters are left as clean as your group found them. Clean up before you leave.

A shelter is not reserved until payment and signed receipt are received by the Connoquenessing Borough Secretary.
