Glen Rock Historic Preservation Society: Usually meets on the fourth Tuesday of the month (third Tuesday in Dec, 2012) on the second floor of the People’s Bank building. Doors open at 6:30 for those that want to look around the museum and the meeting starts at 7:30. Topics vary each month with guest speakers. They also host several events each year to highlight Glen Rock’s history. The museum is also open on the second Sunday of the month from 2-4 PM. Glen Rock Recreation Board Summer Playground Program: will be held at the Glen Rock Community Park beginning July 8th, 2014 through July 31st, every Tuesday through Thursday mornings, 9:30 AM—12 Noon. Children who have completed kindergarten through sixth grade are eligible to attend. The program is free to pre-registered*** children residing in the 17327 zip code.
**Pre-registration will be held at the Hufnagel Public Library on the following dates: Thursday, June 5th, 6-8 pm; Saturday, June 7th, 10-12 am; Tuesday, June 10th, 6-8 pm. A parent must be present to register their child. A fee of $20 per child will be incurred if not pre-registered. A child residing outside the 17327 zip code will be charged $5 per day and a $20 fee if not pre-registred. 2014 Summer Playground Program
Glen Rock Hose & Ladder has fundraising events throughout the year. From breakfasts and BBQs to train displays there is a lot going on. Check their website for details: GRFD Events
Results: On Saturday, April 26th Glen Rock Borough hosted the 7th Annual Clean the Stream and Downtown Area. Mulch was spread, weeds were pulled and flowers were planted in large containers along Main Street.
Donuts were donated by Wetzel’s Market & pizza & sodas were donated by Mignano Brothers Restaurant for our volunteers.
