2012 Trash & Recycling Calendar

YARD WASTE

We ask all borough residents to place their yard waste curbside in open containers. Ashes, clippings, grass, branches (no bigger than 4″ in diameter) and leaves will be picked up every Thursday in Wards 1 & 3 and every Friday in Wards 2 & 4, or as soon as possible. NO plastic bags will be picked up.

OLD APPLIANCES

Need to discard old appliances or other large objects? Contact the borough office (570) 457-5480 about pick-up, for a small cost, they will accept your items at curbside. Costs are subject to number of items.

GARBAGE & RECYCLE PICK-UP

Moosic recycles every week. All recyclables, including newspapers, magazines, glass, plastic, aluminum and tin cans will be collected the same day as your regular garbage pick-up. Newspapers and magazines must be separated, bundled and placed on top of your blue recycling containers.

CARDBOARD RECYCLING

Packaging boxes of Corrugated cardboard are picked up on the 1st Friday of each month

Boxes must be flattened

Pieces must be bundled by tape, twine or string

NO gift boxes, toy boxes or food boxes

COMMERCIAL BUSINESS’S

All Business establishments in the borough are required by Act 101 to recycle.
